EVERY ONE IS INVITED TO CELEBRATE EARTH AND ARBOR DAY IN NORTHBROOK ON SATURDAY, APRIL 16TH - RAIN OR SHINE! The Northbrook Environmental Quality Commission, in conjunction with the Village of Northbrook and the Northbrook Park District, invite you to celebrate Earth and Arbor Day. The event takes place from 8:30 am – 2 pm at the Village Green, on the corner of Shermer and Meadow in Northbrook. The day kicks off with at 8:30 am community clean-up. Teams will be assigned specific areas to collect debris. Between 9:30 am – 2 pm, the Northbrook Village Green will be bustling with excitement as everyone enjoys over 70 exhibits and entertainment. You’ll find fresh ideas and cost effective, earth friendly ways to conserve energy, save money and help the environment at Northbrook’s 41st Annual Earth and Arbor Day Celebration.

The event also includes a special recycling collection event for residents and on-site document shredding. For a complete list of accepted recycling items, visit www.northbrook.il.us/EarthDay. The day promises fun for the whole family including children’s activities, pony rides, entertainment and a reclaimed wood sawmill demonstration at noon. This is an event not to be missed!
